Five Indian musicians for Independence celebrations

Five musicians from India, who are on a cultural mission to the Caribbean, will visit St Vincent and the Grenadines during the 35th anniversary celebrations of Independence.{{more}}

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Indian Heritage Foundation, in a release, said the group, comprising four men and one woman, will arrive in the State on Friday, October 24 at 9.20 a.m. They will be met at the ET Joshua Airport by members of the SVG Indian Heritage Foundation.

While here, the group will engage in several activities, including paying a courtesy call on Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture Cecil Mckie.

On Saturday, October 25, they will perform at Youlou Pan Movement’s function at the Solidarity Inc car park at 5 p.m.

The following day, Sunday October 26, they will perform at the Calliaqua Playing Field at 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, Ambassador from India Indira Naik, who is based in Suriname, will be in the State on an official visit from Sunday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 29 2014. Members of the SVG Indian Heritage Foundation are expected to meet with her while she is in SVG.
