Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra takes show on road

The Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra has embarked on a series of community outreach concerts this month, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of this country’s independence, on October 27.{{more}}

The first concert took place on Saturday, October 11 at the Rose Bank junction. This concert featured live steel band music from North Stars Steel Band and the reigning panorama champs Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra.

The second concert will take place on Sunday, October 19 at the South Rivers Methodist School. This concert will feature the South Rivers Steel band and the energetic Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra.

The third and final concert will be held on October 29 at the Sandy Bay old school yard. This event will feature performances from the new Sandy Bay Steel Band, along-side the six-time panorama champs, the Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra.

The Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra is a community based organization that aids in the holistic development of youths in the Sion Hill community, whether financially, academically, culturally or otherwise.

All of the community outreach concerts start at 4 p.m. sharp and finish at 6 p.m.
