Beginning at 9 a.m., a number of corporate partners will join Courts in heightening the consciousness of Vincentians on the need to live healthier and happier lifestyles on a daily basis.

Courts commercial manager Lisa Veira says that Courts and its partners hope that customers would visit the mini fair at the store’s locations in Kingstown and Bequia, and that what they see and experience would encourage them to adopt practices that would also improve their mental and social well-being.

Some of the participants at the mini fair would include community nursing practitioners, a fitness instructor, a wellness coach, members of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society, NEMO, Vincy Fresh, Richmond Vale Academy, Metrocint Insurance and Third Eye Security.

Veira said the Health and Safety Awareness week extends to members of staff as well, who would be involved in a number of in-store activities, in an effort to raise their own awareness of health and safety practices around the work place.

“We at Courts have a social responsibility to provide a healthy and safe work and shopping environment for both our employees and customers,” Veira noted.

“We have an ethical responsibility to keep our staff members and customers safe, and cannot be the best place to shop and work if either were to suffer injuries on the job or while shopping.

“Our aim is to promote and maintain to our best ability, the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of workers and customers,” she added.
