BCCU grants scholarship and bursaries to successful CPEA students

The Barrouallie Cooperative Credit Union (BCCU) has granted one scholarship and nine bursaries to students who were successful in the 2014 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA).{{more}}

The presentations were made during a short ceremony, held at the BCCU Hall on July 24.

The scholarship recipient was Limiske Berkley, while Kayla Hamlet, Chelsea Joseph, Kade Jackson, Qusha Samuel, Kirk jr Hamlet, Sheldon Quow, Shaquille Browne, Maleek Williams and Dewanson Richardson received scholarships.

According to a release from the credit union, president Brenford Findlay encouraged the students to be focused in their studies and always strive for excellence. He also encouraged the parents to continue to be involved in the lives of their children by encouraging them to save with the credit union so that more students would be able to benefit in the future.
