SVGGGA to host three-day entertainment event

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Girl Guides Association (SVGGGA) will host a three-day entertainment event from May 16 to May 18, as they present “Voice, Body and Soul.”{{more}}

The music and talent festival is a part of the Centenary Celebrations for 2014.

According to a press release, Brownies, Guides and Rangers will compete in a variety of categories, with the group that amasses the most points being awarded the Beryl Baptiste Champion of Champions trophy.

The release stated that on May 16 from 3:30 p.m., Brownies, Guides and Rangers will compete in the Best Brownie Instrumentalist, Best Girl Guide/Ranger Instrumentalist and Best Brownie Solo Singer categories at the Peace Memorial Hall. A cover charge of $5.00 will be collected at the door.

On May 17, from 6 p.m. at the Russell’s Auditorium, Brownies, Guides and Rangers will compete in the Best Brownie Choral Speech, Best Guide/Ranger Solo Singer and Best Girl Guide/Ranger Dance Group categories, and on May 18, also from 6 p.m. at the Russell’s Auditorium, Brownies, Guides and Rangers will compete in the Best Brownie Dance Group, Best Girl Guide/Ranger Set Piece and Best Girl Guide/Ranger Chosen Piece categories.

The cost of tickets is $20 for a single night and $30 for both nights. Tickets may be purchased from members of participating Packs and Companies or from the Girl Guides Headquarters.

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Girl Guides Association assures that this is an event that persons do not want to miss, as it promises to be filled with talent and entertainment.(BK)
