Last week Wednesday, the bank handed over a cheque for $2,500 to Marc Edrich and Ruth Boerger to assist in the production of their play “Kingstown: The Musical.”

Personal banker Janine DeFreitas, on handing over the cheque, said that the donation is an indication of the bank’s awareness of the importance of the performing arts in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and that the bank is happy to support this venture by the group.

DeFreitas said that the bank looks forward to the final product, which is expected to be a hit.

Edrich thanked Scotiabank for the contribution, which he indicated would go a long way in preparing for the group’s third production. He said that the group is happy that Scotiabank has come on board at a very timely stage.

The curtains are expected to go up on “Kingstown: The Musical” on May 16, and coninue on May 17 and 18, as well as May 23, 24, and 25.

The production will be staged at Indian Bay.(JJ)
