Shanirah Beckles told the Nation News of Barbados that her husband Corey called her on Thursday May 1, informing her that he was floating in Vincentian waters and asked her to call the coast Guard.

Since then, the St Andrew woman has not heard from her husband, and despite search efforts by the Barbados and Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guards, there has been no word on his whereabouts.

Barbados media also indicated that another man may have been on the same boat with Beckles.

The report says that while Vincentian officials have refused to give details, they confirmed that there was a report that a Barbadian vessel with two men on it had capsized.

However, Barbados police said that they had not received a report of a second man missing, only Cory Beckles.

The report further stated that a visit was made to a family in the parish of St Michael, said to be related to the alleged second missing man.

That family refused to cooperate with the media.
