Customers topping up, winning with Digicel

Trevol Grant does not have to worry about paying her water bill for the next three months; Chad Williams does not have to spend money to pay his electricity bill for three months;{{more}} and similarly, for three months, Dorrant Louis will not pay Karib Cable/Columbus, while Albert Noel will enjoy a weekend pass for two at the Buccament Bay Resort, free of cost.

These persons were given some relief from spending their own money, as they are winners in Digicel’s “Top up and win” promotion.

Grant, Noel and Susan Wilkson (representing Chad Williams) each collected their winnings last Tuesday at Digicel’s Corporate Offices, located in the Lewis Building on James Street, Kingstown. Louis was late, but eventually turned up, while a fifth winner had not answered his/her phone up to press time Tuesday.

The winners were all excited when Digicel’s Marketing manager Juno DeRoche handed them their prizes.

Explaining how one can be a winner, DeRoche said that customers who top up between $5 and $15 will be entered in a random draw, where five persons per week will get a utility bill of their choice paid for three months by Digicel.

Two of these five persons will get $500 towards their rent, while the other three will have their electricity, water, cable or Internet bill paid. They are expected to pick the bill to be paid from Digicel’s treasure chest during a draw.

DeRoche said that the five winners will be chosen every Monday until the promotion comes to an end on June 30th. At the end of the promotion, all the weekly winners will be placed in a random draw, from which a grand prize winner will be chosen to receive $1,000 per month for an entire year.

Other winners in this promotion included Ketisha Williams, Chereene Miller, Gretia Browne, Shantquel Jones and Vennice Jackson.

“Keep your phone close once you top up, as you can never tell if your number would be chosen,” said DeRoche.
