The presentation to 15 outstanding UWI students was made at the 2014 Students Award Ceremony held in Barbados on April 1.

Gregory Blackman, manager, Sales and Business Development, presented scholarships totalling US$37,500 to the 15 outstanding undergraduate students from Barbados, the islands of the Eastern Caribbean, Bahamas, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The scholarships, valued at US$2,500 each, are presented annually as part of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Bank and the University of the West Indies.

Pro-vice chancellor and principal of Cave Hill Sir Hilary Beckles lauded the corporate and individual donors, saying, “A university cannot prosper without the investment of its stakeholders.”
