Students urged to participate in 2014 FCCA Poster Competition


The Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture is inviting students in St Vincent and the Grenadines to participate in the 2014 Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Foundation Children’s Environmental Poster Competition.{{more}}

Eligible primary and secondary school students are invited to participate in the contest, which will be conducted in two age categories:

Junior Division – Children ages 12 and under (a contestant may not have passed his/her thirteenth (13th) birthday by June 1st, 2014).

Senior Division – children 13 to 16 years of age (a contestant may not have passed his/her seventeenth (17th) birthday by June 1st, 2014).

Each student must submit one (1) poster and select a topic of their choice that promotes environmental awareness. The poster must depict at least three (3) ways in which his/her destination can make a difference in preserving the environment and must be in English.

One (1) poster will be selected from each category for submission to the FCCA.

Words may be used to highlight the ideas illustrated on the poster.

Posters must be 22” x 28” on poster/Bristol board and have a description in English and a title.

Entries will be judged on: creativity, relevance to the theme, content and quality of the presentation (layout/design).

Deadline for submission of posters to the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture is Monday, 28th April, 2014.

Entry forms can be collected from the Ministry, 2nd Floor, NIS Building.
