The source informed SEARCHLIGHT that the organization was merely modifying the plan, after the original design met objections from “high quarters,” despite previously receiving the go ahead from Physical Planning.

The organization, which has been in charge of the facility in Kingstown, next to the Financial Complex on Bay Street, as well as the parking lot at the E.T. Joshua Airport since 2010, began building a new structure at the Kingstown location However, SEARCHLIGHT understands that the organization met objections to the current building plan, and the group has been forced to make adjustments.

When SEARCHLIGHT visited the site yesterday, workmen were seen removing galvanized roofing from the structure.

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Solidarity in Action is a joint venture between the National Labour Congress and the Windward Islands Farmers Association.
