Yesterday at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court, 16-year-old Isaiah Spencer, a student of the Bishop’s College Kingstown, was hauled before the court, and charged with the attempted murder of the boy, which occurred on March 26, at Lodge Village.

Spencer was remanded into custody after police prosecutor attached to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions John Ballah objected to his bail.

Ballah pointed out that the victim is still in critical condition and was stabbed in his neck and back.

SEARCHLIGHT understands that the victim is paralysed on his right side and that he might be seeking medical attention overseas in this coming week.

Magistrate Rechanne-Browne Matthias ordered that Spencer be kept in custody until April 7, at which time the court will be updated on the victim’s condition and his bail will be reviewed. (KW)
