More than 50 walkers turned out for the 10 kilometre exercise, which took them from the old Anglican School in Middle Street, passing through Sally Spring, Sion Hill, Walvarou, Cane Garden and back up Middle Street to the finish line.

Webb was not only the organizer, but he was also a participant, crossing the finish line in 57 minutes. He was followed by Joonyah Garrick, with Michael Webb third.

First for females was Charmin Lewis, in 1 hour and 10 minutes, with Ann Gould placing second in 1 hour, 20 minutes.

Special recognition went to to the eldest participant, Mavis George; the youngest female walker, Tia Gun-Munro; and youngest participants, Olivia Stewart and Xonté O’Brian, all accompanied by their parents.

The fun walk was organized to foster team spirit, healthy diet and regular exercise, among other health conscious objectives.

The event was sponsored by Schoolboy Beer, Mountain Top Water, Howard’s Marine, Yamaha, Log Enterprises, Hillside Caterers, Facey Trading, Serenity Day & Mobile Spa, Premium Distributors, and the Basketball Association. The sponsors provided drinks, tents, T-shirts, rejuvenating massage therapy, breakfast and other promotional items, while St Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Association provided the clock that displayed the time as walkers crossed the finish line.
