On July 2, the Home received equipment that allow it free cable television service, compliments this country’s lone cable television provider, Karib Cable.

Karib Cable’s Sales and Marketing manager Richard Hadley, along with James Ballantyne, Corporate Sales executive, journeyed to the Home to make the presentation to Major Persia Antoine, manager of the Home, and the children, in the presence of chairperson of the Home’s Board of Directors Norma Knights and vice chairperson, Nina Maloney.

In presenting the equipment, Hadley said the gesture was demonstration of his company’s vibrant corporate responsibility, and expressed the hope that the cable television service would enrich the children’s lives.

He described the Salvation Army as an institution that often slips through the mainstream corporate net.

Knights thanked Karib Cable for its donation, while Maloney assured that the children will make full use of the service, even as she urged more corporate entities to come forward to assist the Home and the Salvation Army in general.
