Farrakhan rep visits SVG this weekend

The newly appointed Eastern Caribbean representative of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan will be in St Vincent this weekend, promoting the theme of “Black Unity in the Caribbean and Empowerment Through Education”, on behalf of Farrakhan.{{more}}

David Muhammad, based in Trinidad, will speak at the Red Cross Building in Kingstown on Saturday, May 4, from 6 p.m. a release from the organizers said.

Farrakhan was the convener of the historic 1995 Million Man March, and recently toured 12 Caribbean nations, where he met with political leaders and addressed large audiences.

On April 5 and 6, Muhammad spoke at the University of Guyana and the Linden Business Centre in Guyana; on April 13, he lectured at the Clement Payne Centre in Bridgetown, Barbados; and on April 20, at the Bay Garden Hotel Conference Room in St Lucia.

Last weekend, he spoke at the Grenada Museum in St George’s. He is also expected to visit Antigua, St Kitts and St Croix in the near future.

David Muhammad continues to lecture at the National Library Centre (NALIS) in Port of Spain, Trinidad, every Sunday morning from 10 a.m. and he is the host of the Black Agenda radio programme which has an international following, Monday to Thursday 9 p.m. to 11p.m. on 91.9FM, Trinidad or on www.thestreet919fm.com.
