Last week, the six, O’Celia James, Nicole Gonsalves-Delpesche, Brenda Barbour-Charles, Kurtlan Matthews, Cuthbert Cumberbatch and Ronald Dabreo were recognized for their service during a ceremony held at the Flow Wine Bar in Kingstown.

Speaking directly to four of the six employees present at the recognition event, country manager Sonia Polius said that she was very proud of the employees for having given 10 years of dedicated service to Digicel.

James works in the financial department, Delpesche deals with collections and customer care, while Barbour-Charles is the head of the customer care department. Matthews, Cumberbatch and Dabreo make up the technical team.

“I would like to say thank you and this is not only from the management team, this is coming from Denis O’Brien (chairman of Digicel) himself who has personally signed your appreciation certificates,” said Polius.

She stressed that 10 years was a very long time to give to any company and commended the employees for remaining committed to the company that opened its doors in St Vincent and the Grenadines 10 years ago, on March 24, 2003.

Digicel can be described as one of the fastest growing mobile operators in the world. O’Brien founded Digicel in 2001 when the company launched a GSM cellular phone service in the Caribbean.

Digicel has since extended its operations to 31 markets, with over 13 million subscribers in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific regions.
