Vincentian entomologist Dr Eric Garraway delivered the inaugural lecture on the topic ‘Naturalists in Hairouna’, which looked at endemic, indigenous and introduced plant and animal species in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The presentation, which was streamed live on the Internet, was well received by the audience of Vincentian students and residents, as well as Jamaican well-wishers.

Dr Garraway entertained a question and answer segment, following which the audience was treated to refreshments while pulsating rhythms of yesteryear played in the background.

The lecture was moderated by Vincentian Errol Maloney resident in Jamaica, and sponsored by the Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
