According to a release from the SSBQ organizers, this will be given to the Form 1 student with the most correct entries for the year. Should there be a tie, a draw will determine the winner. This new award was announced at the Awards Ceremony held at the National Library on December 11.

“Monique Mills of Acute Cosmetics has expressed her continued support to the quiz and specially wants to encourage those students who have recently entered secondary schools to get involved. The winner can expect to receive a trophy and $500. Acute Cosmetics makes a significant contribution to the monthly prizes,” a release from SSBQ said.

Students are asked to note some new conditions which will govern the other three awards. These are:

1. Form 1 students will be ineligible to win the Frequent Participant Award FPA.

2. The FPA will now be awarded to the student with the most correct entries for the year. If there is a tie a draw will determine the winner.

3. The Outstanding School Award OSA will go to the school with the most correct entries for the year. If there is a tie the school with the most entries will be the winner.

4. The Distinguished Graduate Award DGA will go to any student who have had five or more correct entries in the quiz and returns the best CSEC results. If there is a tie the student with the most entries will be awarded.

“Correct entries” means having all three answers correct in a month’s quiz.

Students, teachers and parents are reminded that information on the quiz can now be had on the new website www.ssbq.org .

“We are certain that an increased knowledge and acceptance of the Bible’s teaching will positively transform our country as we pursue balanced development,” the release said.
