The NDP has failed in several successive attempts to have the charter debated.

It contains some of the party’s proposals to deal with social issues here.

Nine questions are also on the Order Paper, along with two bills for their first, and one for its second reading.

Seven of the 19 questions down for oral responses are posed to Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Economic Development, the Public Service, Legal and Grenadines Affairs Dr Ralph Gonsalves, while six are down to be answered by Julian Francis, Minister of Transport and works.

One question each will be asked of Minster of Education Girlyn Miguel, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Saboto Caesar, and Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture Cecil Mckie.

The proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering Bill, as well as the Law Revision (Amendment) Bill, both to be read by Gonsalves, will receive their first reading, while the St Joseph Spiritual Baptist Church Incorporation Bill 2012, to be read by the Speaker of the House, will receive its second reading.

The confirmation of the minutes of the previous sitting, along with obituaries, congratulatory remarks and announcements by the Speaker, together with other formalities, will be a part of Thursday’s sitting. (JJ)
