UWI annual Open House – November 5


The annual Open House hosted by the University of the West Open Campus will take place from November 5 to 9.{{more}}

A release from the Open Campus said this year, visiting from the St Augustine Campus will be Dr Gaius Eudoxie of the Faculty of Food and Agriculture and lecturer in Soil Science, Chanelle Joseph, lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Martin Franklin and Dr Marlene Attzs, lecturers in the Department of Economics, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Recruitment and Training Officer, Nigel Bradshaw.

They will be joined by their counterparts of the Mona Campus, Marsha Morgan-Allen, Senior Assistant Registrar (Admissions Section), and Marjorie Belero-Haughton, Assistant Registrar.

The team will visit and share information on programmes, application, and admission procedures of the University with various secondary schools and the Arts, Sciences and General Studies and the Technical and Vocational Studies divisions of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College. They will also host a town hall meeting in Marriaqua on Thursday, November 8 at 5 p.m. at the Kingdom Life Tabernacle Church Mesopotamia for students, teachers and the general public at large who are interested in UWI programmes. An Open Day will be held at the University Centre from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, November 9.

“The Open House is an opportunity for parents and prospective students to meet and dialogue with faculty and administrative staff about academic programmes, scholarships, and other opportunities available for students at the University of the West Indies,” the release said.
