Vincentian activist Renwick Rose addressed the Annual Conference of BOND, the umbrella body of the non-governmental organisations (NGOs) of the United Kingdom, in London on Tuesday.{{more}}

He was one of the keynote speakers, among them the British Minister for International Development, Rt. Hon. Justine Greening, and was given the honour of addressing the opening session.

BOND was established in 1993, to coordinate the work of British NGOs involved in international development work and now has a membership of over 350. These include such internationally-known organisations as OXFAM, Christian Aid, Amnesty International, the Salvation Army, the international development section of the Trade Union Congress and the Fairtrade Foundation.

Rose spoke on the theme of the future of international development relations, particularly between NGOs from developing and developed countries.

Last week he participated in international conferences in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
