Apostolic Faith Mission, Bequia – wins Independence Bible Fest for fourth consecutive year


The Apostolic Faith Mission of Bequia made it four in a row when they won the 2012 SVG Independence Bible Festival on Sunday at the Faith Temple Church.{{more}}

On a night of finals in Speech, Bible Drama, Bible Boxing and Quizzes, the Apostolic Faith Mission was able to retain their title and remain undefeated in the annual Bible competition, with strong performances in all four categories of the festival.

Along the way they were able to push aside a strong challenge from the Vermont Miracle Tabernacle and other finalists: the Church of God of Prophecy, Bethel Gospel Assembly Georgetown, Faith Temple Church, Kingdom Life Tabernacle and the Streams of Power Church Sion Hill.

The results from the various competitions include:

Best Speech: Kelmore Hadaway, Vermont Miracle Tabernacle

Best Bible Boxer: Denika Compton, Apostolic Faith Mission, Bequia

Best Bible Dramatist: Josette Barker, Bethel Gospel Assembly, Georgetown

Best Quizzer: Shirlon Frederick – Apostolic Faith Mission, Bequia, Bequia

Most Outstanding Young Participant: Roela Bynoe, Apostolic Faith Mission, Bequia

Most Outstanding Participant: Denika Compton – Apostolic Faith Mission

The final point’s standings are:

1. Apostolic Faith Mission Bequia: 294

2. Vermont Miracle Tabernacle: 205

3. Church of God of Prophecy: 158

4. Bethel Gospel Assembly, Georgetown: 139

5. Kingdom Life Tabernacle: 93

6. Streams of Power Church, Sion Hill: 69
