Lyttle emerged victorious from among over 50 children, under the age of 13, who registered and sang the set piece “Tomorrow” by Annie. A top 5 squad was narrowed down and the Vincentian public was given the opportunity to vote for their favourite candidate, when the finalists were aired on SVG TV.

The top five were Uriah Lyttle, Zavorne Baptiste, Danielle Quashie, Gia Millington and McKeilah McDowald.

Uriah, having recently completed the Common Entrance Exam, stated that his winnings of XCD$1,000 will come in handy as he prepares to enter the St Vincent Grammar school and, of course, buy himself something special. Uriah is the cousin of Vincentian song bird Kevin Lyttle.

Zavorne Baptiste, who placed second, is also entering secondary school this year, and expressed thanks to Coreas and cited her experience as a memorable one. Zavorne will use her $300 for school supplies.

Both Uriah and Zavorne will be featured in a Radio and Television ad for Coreas Insurance.

Nichola Francis, Manager of Coreas Insurance, expressed satisfaction with the competition and stated that the department “is always looking at creative ways to involve members of the wider community and the competition aided this endeavour.”
