Splectron – Patrons were satisfied with the event

Despite claiming not to have made a financial profit, Regis ‘Splectron” Williams says he is proud to know that patrons “were satisfied” with his “Spekisha Fair of the Year” event.{{more}}

In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT about the event held at the Victoria Park on Saturday, April 14, Splectron said that even though the turnout was below expectation, he’s happy to know that persons were satisfied with what they experienced.

“Maybe because of the hard economic times, but based on the feedback I received, I am content not making a profit and to know that persons were satisfied and enjoyed themselves.

“Persons have met me and complimented me on the event, and many also expressed satisfaction with regard to the standard of the show,” he said.

Held annually as a fair which includes on-stage performances under a party atmosphere, the promoter explained that the theme for this year’s event was family oriented.

“We wanted to move away from the party mode and give the parents and children the opportunity to have some clean fun together at one location, and that’s what happened over the weekend.”

“Despite not having all the attractions as promised, I do apologize for that because the donors who were to contribute were unable to, but next year’s event promises to be even better,” the promoter added.

Last Saturday’s event featured bouncing castles, car rides, face painting, and the main event: Miss SCG Princess 2012.

Upon conclusion of the pageantry, K-Tonya Peters and Destiny John had to share the crown following the judges’ decisions.

“The standard of the show was high and can be compared to the National Miss SVG Queen show,” he added with a grin.

Continuing his path to provide entertainment in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Splectron revealed that his next event will be held on May 12.

Dubbed “Party Monarch”, the event has as its objective to finance local soca artistes for carnival.

“We want to help out the artistes financially by hosting this show, and for them it’s going to be a win-win situation,” Splectron said.

According to the promoter, the winner of this upcoming event will receive EC $10,000, while every participating artiste will earn an EC $1,000 entrance fee.
