More than a dozen Courts employees journeyed to the location, where they were involved in landscaping work, which is expected to continue this weekend with the planting of grass around the facility.

The volunteers, with the help of persons from the community, are also expected to commence the painting of the building, which will be the home of the town’s first library, since the last facility was closed in 2005.

The building is to be fitted with shelves, an air conditioning unit and tiled by Décor Products as part of the project, which is expected to cost up to $30,000, and is part of Courts’ community outreach initiative.

Marketing Officer of Courts Alexis John, who was a part of the team, said that the staff is very excited to be involved in the project.

“We are also very pleased with the support of residents, and persons have expressed how happy they were when they heard that a Library facility is place in the community that has for so many years been without one.”

The project is expected to take three weeks to complete.
