RSVGPF to host discussion to aid in community safety measures

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force will be holding a series of discussions with members of the public in the various Police Districts throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

The broad objectives of the discussions are to, among other things, discuss strategies in an effort to enhance policing and gather input from persons in respect of the performance of the police, with the aim of making our communities safer.

The discussions are scheduled to be held every Wednesday from March 7, 2012 to April 25, 2012, commencing at 5:00 p.m.

Meetings begin tomorrow at the Owia Primary School, the new Greiggs Primary School and the Buccament Secondary School.

On Wednesday, March 21, meetings will be held at the Sandy Bay Primary School, the Biabou Primary School and the Troumaca Primary School.

The Colonarie Secondary School, the Marriaqua Government School and the Chateaubelair Government School will be the venues on March 28, followed by meeting at the Park Hill Government School, Calliaqua Government School and Petit Bordel Secondary School on April 4.

April 11 will see meetings being held at the New Grounds Primary School, Gomea Primary School and the Spring Village Primary School. On April 18, meetings will be held at the Evesham Primary School and the Brighton Primary School, followed by a meeting on April 25 at the Campden Park Secondary School.

Each meeting will be facilitated by either the Commissioner of Police, the Deputy Commissioner of Police or the Assistant Commissioner of Police, except for the meeting on April 25, which will be attended by all Commissioners.

On conclusion of these discussions, similar meetings will be held in Central and the Grenadines Division.

Members of the public are cordially invited to attend the meetings and to express their opinions/recommendations openly.
