This group was set up twelve years ago to assist in meeting the essential needs of the Hospital.

Sister Rosetta Lawrence of the Georgetown Hospital expressed gratitude to the Friends of the Georgetown Hospital for the donation.

To date, the group has embarked on several fundraising activities such as Cake Sales, Sponsor Sheets, Barbecues, Walkathons and Creole Evenings. These activities have enabled the group to donate items on a continuous basis to the hospital. The group has also used funds from these activities to repaint the Georgetown Hospital.

The nearby Clinics of Sandy and Byrea also received a Nebulizer and a transformer each from the efforts of Friends of the Georgetown Hospital.(API)
