Head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Assistant Superintendant of Police Elton Jackson confirmed this to SEARCHLIGHT yesterday, stating that investigations are continuing into the matter.

At a press briefing last week, IADC Communications Officer Jennifer Richardson-Herbert told reporters that two junior employees of the company conspired to defraud the company of funds, through the issuance of false invoices, for which payment in cheque was issued by the IADC.

According to Richardson-Herbert, one of the persons admitted to the charges and testified to having colluded with the other staff member.

The staff member who admitted to the wrongdoing subsequently tendered his resignation, while the other person involved was fired. (KW)
