According to SVGTV’s Programme Manager, the purpose of the new show ‘Entertaining by Design’ is to enlighten viewers about how to entertain with style despite the occasion. He added that the show will also feature food, cocktails and wine, and it will be stylish, glamorous and sophisticated, with a chic decor to complement the theme. It will be hosted by Christine Ferreira of Island Life Styles, .

‘Entertaining by Design’ will invite only the best interior designers and chefs around the Caribbean to participate. Each episode will have a different theme, and each designer will be given the challenge of taking a simple space and transforming it into something amazing. In the meanwhile, the chef will have a similar challenge in the kitchen to produce simple but incredibly decorative and mouth-watering plates or hors d’oeuvres to complement the theme and décor.

It will premiere on SVGTV on Tuesday, February 7, at 6:00 p.m., and will be aired each Tuesday thereafter at the same time. It will be repeated on Thursdays at 11:00 am and Saturdays at 1:35 p.m.

Head of Sales and Marketing of SVGTV, Candice Sealey commented that the show is currently being aired in 20 Caribbean Islands, and with its existing high viewership, it is believed that it would appeal to the many event planners/coordinators/wedding planners within SVG, as well as chefs and persons who enjoy entertaining guests or are often involved in planning social events. She further noted that the public has often asked for programs related to cooking and home décor. Hence, SVGTV has listened to its audience and is delivering a program that it believes everyone will enjoy. Sealey also urged business houses offering lifestyle products to take advantage of this opportunity to have their brand associated with this lifestyle programme.
