Officials of PDVCaribe-Venezuela visit St Vincent and the Grenadines


Officials from the Venezuelan oil company PDVCaribe, of the group of PDVSA companies, paid a visit to here from January 17 to 19 to examine the status of the energy projects that are developing in St Vincent and the Grenadines, which is a member of PETROCARIBE.{{more}}

The delegation from the Venezuelan Government was headed by Engineer Luis Rivas, General Manager of PDVCaribe, Infrastructure Manager, engineer Luisa Carrasco, the Manager of Finances, Lawyer Maria Primera, Lawyer Patricia Oliveira, Ramon Aryan, Manager of Commerce and Supply and Enrique Stibelj, Manager of Logistical Operations.

During their stay, the group participated in the Ordinary General Assembly of the company Venezuelan-Vincentian PDV-SVG LIMITED, the company responsible for the operation of the energy agreement with this country.

The delegation, together with the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yoel Perez Marcano, visited the Fuel Storage and Distribution Plant located at Lowmans Bay, where they had discussions with Alberto Diaz, President of Company HAFRAN CARIBE, and Luis Pereira, Chief Engineer of the project. At the end of the visit, the PDVCaribe officials, on invitation by Chairman and CEO of the International Airport Development Company (IADC) Rudy Mathias, paid a visit to the International Airport construction site at Argyle.

The airport is being constructed with assistance from several countries, including the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
