NEMO, UNDP workshop ends today


A three-day workshop to review the National Damage Assessment process in St Vincent and the Grenadines comes to an end today.{{more}}

The workshop is a collaborative initiative between the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Barbados.

This training is part of the Post Tomas Recovery Project in St Vincent and the Grenadines which is executed by the UNDP to provide support to the country in the provision of Damage and Loss Assessment (DALA) and Damage and Needs Assessment (DANA) training as well as a review of the existing systems for capturing data in this respect.

This consultation/training is aimed at strengthening the damage assessment and recovery processes in St Vincent and the Grenadines in the aftermath of the impact of hazards.

The workshop also addressed issues relating to the timely completion of damage reports to inform recovery and planning.

The workshop is being facilitated by Lancelot Busby, Statistical Economist.
