The winners received their prizes during a brief ceremony at the National Lottery Authorities headquarters on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

Teclar Peters of Calliaqua received a Laptop; Eureka Delplesche of Union Island, represented by her daughter Uteshia Bramble, received a 46 inch Plasma television, while Allan Foyle from Bequia received a living room suite from Singer. Paula McCree of Arnos Vale, who was not present at the ceremony, won a Blackberry Torch smartphone.

Peters, speaking at the ceremony, expressed joy upon winning the Laptop, but, however, admitted she wanted to win the living room suite, which would have been suitable for the ground floor of her home. Foyle, also stating that he was happy about winning a prize, added that it was a good feeling to be a winner. Bramble also expressed thanks to the NLA on behalf of her mother Delplesche.

Anthony Dennie stated that the promotion enabled customers who bought the NLA scratch tickets to enter the non winning tickets into a draw for a chance to win prizes. The draw took place on December 21, 2011, at the National Caroling Contest.

Dennie, referring to the two winners from the Grenadines, stated that the NLA is delighted to have winners from the Grenadine islands, adding that he is pleased that the NLA games are being played across the breadth of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Dennie also thanked the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines for their continued support, and added that the NLA has many more promotions in store for 2012. He also encouraged persons to continue to play the NLA games as the funds go towards the development of Education, Sports and Culture in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.(OS)
