The party, hosted by Star Apple founder and patron Eloise Gonsalves, saw children from various communities gather at the residence for an evening of fun and games, on Sunday, December 11.

They were accompanied by parents and guardians, as well as the 35 reading mentors which have been volunteering their time on a weekly basis to provide stimulating learning experiences for them.

The Star Apple Foundation, a non profit, non political organization, was created to provide safe havens for the youngsters in the various vulnerable communities, through reading and other exploratory activities.

The foundation has partnered with Premier Distributors, which provided refreshments to those who attended the function, as well as the face painting accessories and bouncing castles.

Premier Distributors also provided refreshments for the students who attend the weekly reading sessions.

The event was coordinated by Sylvia Sayers, who was assisted by the Premier Distributors Tea Time Fun Team, and event planner Jennifer Robinson, manager of JENOR’S.

Organizers are hoping to make the event an annual one.
