Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves made the announcement on Sunday, November 13, at a public meeting at Diamonds Village, in the Constituency of South Central Windward.

He did not give a date as to when the debate on the Appropriation Bill, commonly known as the Budget, was expected to begin.

However, the Prime Minister said that he had already begun to prepare his presentation, because he is going to be doing a bit of traveling, including a planned visit to Bethlehem on Christmas Day.

He said he was invited by the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, to attend service at the Church of the Nativity, believed to be the birthplace of Jesus of Nazareth.

“I want to go there and feel the spirit,” Gonsalves said, adding that he wanted to be renewed like an eagle at the place of the birth of our Lord and Saviour.

He added that he would also be making visits to other places, but did not disclose those locations. (DD)
