The Club, which was founded on February 7, 2011, has as its mission to help business students at the St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua to develop their business skills and thinking.

“The days of business week were great, and all the members had fun learning and praying. We developed our business minds and we are now more appreciative of what we learn in business subjects and intend to be future business persons.”

On Tuesday, busineswoman Monique Tash gave insight and knowledge of the problems a small business can face, and how to overcome these problems. On Wednesday, Chaville Sutherland, a student and personal assistant/advisor to the Club’s CEO, presented on the many challenges of a modern business student and ways to develop business skills.

“Through his presentation, we came to the realization that we had similar challenges as students. Tired as we were, we enjoyed listening to Mrs. Davis’ presentation, which has stirred our minds. Our club social was magnificent as members wore their business uniform in school. As they were complimented they seemed more eager about continuing in the club and also motivated others to want to join.”

Saturday was the climax of our week. Our retreat was a magnificent ‘mountain top’ experience done using the theme upon which both Sr . Augustine and Mrs. Brown helped us to reflect, “Give success to the work of our hands.”

After being prayed with by the CEO of the Club, we felt renewed and ready for the journey ahead. We ended our retreat by worshipping at the evening mass held at the Cathedral. The week was fun filled, educational and very spiritual.

Throughout the month of October the Club joined the country in celebrating financial awareness month by presenting financial tips to the staff and student body at General Assembly.
