Karib Cable, the only telecommunication company offering a triple play service of cable TV, Internet and fixed line in SVG, has continued with its donations of a variety of trees and plants under the theme: “Plant a tree today and feed the world tomorrow.”{{more}}

This programme began some five months ago and has seen a variety of plants and trees such as coconut, orange and wax apples being donated to a number of schools including Headstart pre-school, Sugar Mill Academy, Discovery pre-school, Bequia Paradise primary school, Windsor primary and now the Central Police Station.

“First let me say thank you to Karib Cable for this fantastic venture,” said Assistant Superintendant of Police Isaiah Browne of the Royal St.Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

“In the next 3-4 years these plants will start to bear fruits which can then be enjoyed by our members of the police service. The fruits the plants produce will help stabilize the diets of our members and encourage them to eat healthy and live healthy and in the process will save them a few dollars as the coconut water provided by these plants means they will now be self sufficient.”

Karib Cable Marketing Executive Vance Garraway meanwhile explained “That by introducing the planting a tree programme to schools and different organizations we’re letting people know the importance of being self sufficient and how important it is to protect our environment in which we live.”

Meanwhile existing Cable TV account can sign up to Karib Cable Internet where they will receive free installation, free modem and Internet service free for two months, for more information visit our offices at Frenches gate, call Karib Cable on 570-1600 or visit their website at www.karibcable.com.
