The restaurants, which were located on the ground floor of the Sprott’s building on Bay Street, were operated by the company D’Vincie Cuisine Ltd.

The approximately 50 staff members were issued letters on Saturday, August 13, which stated “D’Vincie Cuisine Limited regrets to inform you that effective today, Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 9 p.m, will be closing its operations.”

The letter, signed by D’Vincie Cuisine General Manager McSherry K.D. Hackshaw, thanked the employees for their contributions and instructed them to report to the Accounts department, tomorrow, Wednesday, August 17, to receive any payments due to them.

On Sunday, August 14, persons were seen removing equipment from the restaurants and packing them into a container parked in front of the building.

The restaurants, which opened their doors on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, offered a wide variety of fast foods, including chicken, wraps, sandwiches, pizza and ice cream.
