The forum, which will begin at 7:00 p.m., is being hosted by the People’s Movement for Change (PMC), under the theme ‘Locating the Vincentian economy in a hostile economic environment: Challenges and Opportunities.’

The presenters are: Shafia London, former Executive Director of the SVG Chamber of Industry and Commerce and entrepreneur; Ashley Cain, agricultural economist attached to the Ministry of Agriculture: and Jomo Thomas, political economist, lawyer and political commentator.

The panelists are expected to make 20-minute presentations, after which questions and comments will be taken.

The forum will explore and identify those sectors of our economy that have been impacted in one way or the other by the global financial situation. What exactly accounted for their decline, stagnation or growth? What lessons can we learn for the future?

The panelists are expected to suggest and examine untapped or under-exploited sectors that can be potential sources of sustainable development for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

A release from the PMC said the forum should be brought live on We FM and Nice Radio.

The general public is invited to attend.
