The Vincentian born, Tobago based artiste, who has been garnering success in the soca arena over the years, was unveiled by Courts Marketing Officer Alexis John as the face and voice of the promotions dubbed ‘Courts Massive Carnival Sale’.

The unveiling took place at Courts Kingstown showroom floor on Wednesday, June 8, in a special press conference, which also saw John making a number of other announcements, in line with the country premier festive season.

John informed the media that the Empress’ song ‘Sak Passe’ had been remixed for the radio and television broadcast, and will be accompanied with print advertisements.

He said that Fire Empress joins a number of local talent who had represented the Courts Brand satisfactorily in the past.

“We started off with Zolah, then we did Icon, and last year was Skarpyon.

“What’s unique about Fire Empress is that she has a wonderful personality, she has strong vocals. I love her discipline and she definitely fits the Courts brand in a tremendous way.”

“This is a great opportunity for local artistes. This shows that we want to be a part of the music revolution that is taking place in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We really want to lift up the music industry, hence we are joining forces with our local artistes.”

He said the innovative move was a great incentive for Vincentian artistes to produce good music, and when partnered with Courts could take their careers a very long way, and urged other artistes to work hard at their talent.

Commenting on being the new face of Courts Carnival, Fire Empress, who produced a number of hits such as ‘No Money, No Wuk’, Session Done’, and ‘Mama Lay Lay’, noted that she was happy to receive the invitation to represent the Courts brand.

“It shows me that I am doing something correct and that it can only get better.”

“I particularly like the Courts I-Finance where young people get a chance to make their purchases on hire purchase; it’s very easy.” Said the three time and current Tobago Soca Monarch.

According to John, the four week promotion will see prices slashed storewide.

“We will feature huge reductions on a number of products. In fact, customers can get huge savings on televisions, mini hi-fi systems, stoves, freezers and also furniture pieces.”

“We have kicked prices to the floor on a number of items across the store.”

Fire Empress was scheduled to meet and greet Courts customers today at the Courts Kingstown store.
