Last Thursday, December 16, Head of the Scriptural Search Organization Pastor Joel Jack, presented prizes to the programme’s most frequent competitors, as well as the school that produced the most participants.

Receiving the prize for most frequent participant was Kerron Glasgow, a student of the St. Vincent Grammar School, while the Girls’ High School was awarded as the school that produced the most participants.

Glasgow received a cheque for $500, compliments the General Employees Cooperative Credit Union (GECCU) and lunch for two, courtesy Basil’s Bar and Restaurant.

The Girls’ High School received a cheque for $1,000, compliments Courts, a plaque, compliments Right Stuff and a $200 gift voucher from Coreas and Hazells Ltd.

Each month students are given three questions to answer on the weekly programme, which is aired on WE FM on Tuesdays, at 6 p.m.

The correct answers are placed together and a grand prize winner is selected. The winner receives a Bible and $100 cash, as well as a $100 gift voucher.

Jack said the quiz was introduced to the programme to help young people to develop in a balanced way.

“Three years ago we thought that in addition to doing the teaching, we decided that we should reach out to the young people of the nation… and so in addition to their intellectual, their physical and their social development, they should also pay attention to their spiritual development,” said Jack.

Courts Marketing Executive Alexis John said that his company was pleased to be a part of the Scriptural Search programme. He added that Courts did not hesitate to assist Scriptural Search in the spreading of God’s words to the nation’s students.

“We know that the spiritual aspect is very important and it is very important here at Courts that we reach out to the Youths in this manner,” said John.
