George Stephens Senior Secondary holds First Best Class Competition

The George Stephens Senior Secondary School relaunched its Environment Club under the leadership of teacher Kendra King and her colleagues Sabrina Reyes, Kelorne Balcombe and Nyako Parsons.{{more}}

A Best Class Competition was held between October 13 and 21, 2010, and prizes which were sponsored by Mountain Top Spring Waters Limited were awarded on November 15, 2010. Mr Dasilva, who was present at the ceremony, said he was happy to partner with the school’s Environmental Club.

The Best Class Competition will be an on-going activity. The aim is to encourage students to keep their surroundings clean. The prizes were awarded as follows: 1st prize – 11BT, 2nd Prize – 10 B and 3rd Prize 7R3.

An Environment poster was also erected depicting aspects of ‘caring for the environment’. The poster was sponsored by National Olympic Committee, Sport and The Environment Commission.
