Special registration period ends today


The controversial fifteen-day special registration period for the December 15, 2010 general elections comes to an end today.{{more}}

The period allows for persons who are eligible for their first identification card to be registered, or for those who wish to be transferred from one constituency to another to have that done.

The special registration period began on Tuesday, November 16, the day after Parliament was dissolved.

The places where registering officers will be stationed in the different constituencies between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. today are as follows:

North Windward – Langley Park Government School; North Central Windward – Georgetown Government School; South Central Windward – Greggs Government School; South Windward – Calder Government School; Marriaqua – Marriaqua Government School; East St. George – Calliaqua Anglican School; West St.George – Doris McKie Learning Resource Centre; East Kingstown – CW Prescod Primary School; Central Kingstown – Bishop’s College Kingstown; West Kingstown – Lowmans Leeward Anglican School; South Leeward – Rillan Hill Community Centre; Central Leeward – Barrouallie Public Library; North Leeward – Chateaubelair Methodist School; Northern Grenadines – Friendly Society Hall, Port Elizabeth (2:30 – 4:30 p.m.) and MIPA Building – Mustique; Southern Grenadines – Social Welfare Office, Union Island.
