This latest move advances efforts by members of the local agro-business community to formalise an agro “CLUSTER.” Clusters are geographic concentrations of interconnected companies, specialized suppliers, service providers, firms in related industries and institutions. Their development results in greater sophistication of firms as they encourage one another to develop global strategies, enter more international markets and source inputs together from various overseas locations, to improve their operational efficiencies.

Vincyklus Inc. is already a full legal entity here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, having been fully registered and incorporated at the local registry. Its main purpose is to give effect to initiatives geared towards enhancing the competitiveness of agro-processors in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, by delivering quality service and products that are competitively priced. At present, the company comprises companies and individuals involved in the agro-processing industry here. Membership to VincyKlus is open to individuals and entities that produce or consume products and services along the agro-processing value chain.

The project is being funded by the European Union and spearheaded by WINFA, under the auspices of the Center for Enterprise Development-CED.
