The event was made possible by contributions from a number of local businesses, the Central and Water Sewage Authority and the Department of Forestry.

Several trees were planted at the site, and the National Trust urges the general public not to destroy them when using the beach.

Moreover, the National Trust is encouraging persons to be good stewards of the environment by ensuring that they keep the beaches clean.

The National Trust plans to implement similar projects at other beaches across St. Vincent and the Grenadines, in keeping with the mandate of protecting and preserving the natural, archaeological, architectural and cultural history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
