KCCU prepares for Primary School Quiz

The Kingstown Co-operative Credit Union Limited (KCCU) is preparing to stage the 2010 edition of its annual Primary School Quiz, which will bring together most if not all of the primary schools on Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in two rounds of competition.{{more}}

The preliminary round will be held at the Saint Vincent Grammar School tomorrow, Saturday, November 6, while the grand finale is scheduled for the Methodist Church Hall on Saturday, November 13.

The quiz will consist of five categories: General Knowledge, Sports, History, Current Affairs and Credit Union Affairs. Last year’s winner, the Calliaqua Anglican School, will no doubt be keen on doing the double this year. Second and third places went to the Biabou Methodist and Barrouallie Anglican Primary Schools, respectively.

The KCCU conveys its delight in being associated with this education project and is grateful to the Ministry of Education for all the support it has provided over the several years that this initiative has been successfully staged. KCCU is appealing to the teachers, parents, guardians, friends and the general public to come out to these events to encourage and cheer their students and schools. This year is very special because in addition to winning trophies and cash prizes, the winning school will walk away with a brand new computer and printer.
