New Gospel radio station  Total Inspiration 100.5

With a vision to become the heartbeat of the gospel community, Total Inspiration 100.5 has officially arrived.

Joining sister stations HITZ 103.7 and Ezee Radio, the all gospel station is the latest addition to the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Broadcasting Corporation (SVGBC) family.{{more}}

At a press conference to herald the station’s birth, SVGBC Marketing Manager, Candice Sealy, informed all present at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce conference room that the new station intends to become a “positive influence in homes by spreading the news of God’s love and grace through entertainment, that uplifts every member of the the family.”

Sealey added: “We intend to serve the Christian community through broadcast and other media output and being the radio lifeline by informing, comforting, lifting and supporting our listeners.”

According to Sealey, the station will offer the best of local, regional and international gospel music which will be enhanced by ministry programming.

Some of the genres to be featured include adult contemporary, blue grass, hip hop, reggae, southern gospel, huge choirs praise and worship, classical and jazz.

Programming will also include inspirational breakfast, kids point, gospel music reviews, behind the blessings, family focus, today’s flavour and daily dose among others.

Sealey reached out to the religious community, offering a media partnership to the churches and appealing for their support and prayers in getting the new station into homes as they support and promote each other’s activities.

“We passionately believe that the media is something that cannot be ignored, and the church should be at the forefront to ensure that the relevant and good news is heard loud and clear.”

She also called on businesses to support the new station that offers an alternative to the secular music.

Assistant Manager of SVGBC, Richard Macleish, also at the press conference, stated that Total Inspiration has been in the making for the past two years, when his company took the reins of the then Total FM.

“We hope that this new station will complement what already exists in the market and perhaps offers more choices or more opportunities for the myriad of churches that exist here.”

Macleish indicated that the station will initially run automated 24 hours a day, with adjustments expected to be made in the future.(JJ)
