The event will kick-off at 3 pm with music from some of the country’s top Dee Jays followed by speeches which will begin at 5 pm. The speeches will be interspersed with entertainment in the form of song and dance from the cream-of-the-crop of Vincentian cultural groups and artistes. The line-up includes reigning Soca Monarch Skinny Fabulous, Skarpian, Icon, Ipa, La Gracia, HS Phaktor and the Alliance band.

The keynote speaker at the Family Gathering will be the ULP Political Leader, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, who is expected to send out a rallying call for national unity in the referendum process.

All are invited to the Family Gathering which is intended to unite Vincentians as the nation prepares to vote in a Referendum for a new Constitution on November 25, 2009.

The setting of the Family Gathering will be similar to the opening of the Rabacca Bridge, which saw the largest turn-out of Vincentians ever in any one location.
