Digicel customers can talk Free after 3 and Free after 5

Customers of the region’s fastest growing telecommunications network, Digicel, are now in a better position to save money while talking for longer periods, for free.{{more}}

Speaking to members of the media on Monday, Digicel’s Fanta Williams, Edmund Joachim and Juno DeRoche, launched Digicel’s latest saving plans for its customers called “Free after 3” and “Free after 5”.

The Free After 3 allows all Digicel pre-paid customers to speak for three minutes to anyone with a Digicel handset locally, as well as, those in Anguilla, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Dominica, St. Kitts and Trinidad and Tobago and then speak for the next 30 minutes free.

Digicel’s post paid customers are also in on the talk free bargain. They can talk to anyone in the US and Canada who has a landline or a handset, for five minutes and talk for the next 30 minutes free. Pre-paid Digicel customers also have this opportunity.

All Digicel customers can call any landline in the United Kingdom and talk for five minutes and get the next 30 minutes free.

Guyana and Antigua and Barbuda are excluded from the promotions, due to testing being carried out in those markets.

Before Monday’s official launch last Friday, saw Andy Baptiste dressed as Digicel’s ‘Free After 3 Bubble Boy’ taking to the streets of Kingstown, handing out gifts to persons he passed.

The ‘Bubble Boy’ also made stops at three of Digicel’s Retail Stores, such as The Cell, Pulse and Karib Cable, where he interacted with persons and handed out book bags and water bottles among other gifts.

Marketing Executive Edmund Joachim said Digicel used the opportunity on Friday to inform the public of Digicel’s latest promotion.

At Monday’s official launch Digicel’s Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche stateds that “in these hard economic times, Digicel is trying to help everyone save a bit and to be more conscious of the way they spend; we also want our customers to keep in contact with whoever they want more economically”.

Describing the Free After 3 promotion as the newest innovation in the St.Vincent and the Grenadines and Eastern Caribbean market for Digicel, DeRoche said the promotion will run until Digicel, “sees something better that can benefit the people of the Eastern Caribbean”.

Marketing Executive, Edmund Joachim, described the promotion as, “another chance to get value”. He added, “Vincentians can now talk much longer to family, friends or business colleagues with Digicel’s launch of yet, another innovative promotion dubbed, Free after 3 regional”.

In introducing the ‘Free After 5’ promotion, Digicel’s Dealer Accounts Executive, Fanta Williams, pointed out that ‘Free After 5’ applies to calls made between 6 pm and 6 am on weekdays, while calls made over the entire weekend fall under the promotion.

Country Manager at Digicel Sonia Polius said, “We believe staying connected is vital in these hard times and we are ensuring that our valued customers enjoy the benefits of being part of the Digicel.”
