The exercise, which took place at the team’s office in the Singer Building on Lower Bay Street, saw 24 persons being handed their certificates by Minister of Telecommunications, Science, Technology and Industry Jerrol Thompson, in the presence of other persons involved in Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) driven businesses, and businesses using ICT as an enabling tool.

Those certified were trained in building capacities of businesses to make use of ICT and enhancing capacities of ICT driven businesses to satisfy the requirements of businesses and individuals.

Before handing out the certificates, Thompson addressed the gathering, informing those gathered that they were the backbone of a growing sector that is growing from strength to strength, who will be taking ICT to the next level.

He said that persons aiming to take the sector to a higher level should possess the five P’s: Passion, Patience, Persistence, Perspiration and Prayer.

Friday’s exercise was used as an opportunity for the existing and potential entrepreneurs to interact and build their networks.

During the breakfast, presentations were made by a number of participants, covering topics such as collaboration, a coherent framework for e-Government in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ncomputing Multiuser Terminals and joint e-Marketing initiatives for the ICT Sector.
