The week will kick off with addresses on Radio NBC from the Minister of Health Douglas Slater and the Chief Nursing Officer, on Sunday, May 10 – as well as nurses attending their various churches in full uniform. On Monday, May 11, the Georgetown Health Centre will play host to a Community Health Evaluation and Education exercise; with International Nurses’ Day observed on Tuesday, May 12.

A Professional Development Programme Awards Ceremony will be held at the Peace Memorial Hall on Wednesday, May 13, from 3 – 5pm. Following that, the activities will cross the waters to Bequia on Thursday, May 14, with another community health evaluation and education exercise at the Port Elizabeth Hospital.
